*** Profile - Miro Kikkawa ***

Miro Kikkawa, was born in Shimane Prefecture near the Eastern San-in coastline of Japan. She grew up surrounded by the beauty of the ocean and the hills. This organic environment as played a big role in shaping her values and respect for nature, people, and the creative spirit within.

She moved to Osaka about 10 years ago to follow that creative spirit, and she immediately went to work in her chosen field of fashion. In the city she quickly made a niche for herself in the industry as top seller and hard worker. After proving herself for a few years in retail she was hungry for other challenges so she decided to take follow her heart and set up her own shop to showcase her unique concepts.

She opened what was to become one of the most popular and respected shops of its kind in her niche, the name of shop, Irie and Artical, located in America mura Village. She went with a select shop concept importing clothes from the fashion mecca of New York City and mixing them with her own unique selections. She mixed high fashion labels with her love of reggae and African Nubian cultures. Even though the shop was not located in an obvious part of the shopping district she cultivated a loyal following of fans. Recently she opted to take her shop concept online and merge it into her own brand concept, yet another milestone for this young up and comer.

Capricious as the word implies meaning governed by the unpredictable or the sudden hunch of inspiration has now become the central theme of Miro’s latest venture, her new brand fitly called Capricious Cross. She has continued to combine the concepts high fashion and African Nubian culture with her original hand crafted brightly colored stylish accessories. They have a blend of uniqueness, organic style, and a touch of Japanese aesthetic.

Her goods have been featured in full-page spreads in fashion magazines in Japan such as Luire and CaziCazi. Additionally here accessories and clothing have been selling well in small exclusive runs in New York and all through out Japan.
